    Infection and Exposure Control Training provides participants with a foundational understanding of biological hazards, routes of exposure, and effective control measures in the workplace.

    The course focuses on how infections are transmitted, how to reduce exposure risk, and the practical steps workers should take to protect themselves and others when there is potential contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
    Duration: Approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on class size. Larger groups may require additional time.

    • Public Health Agency of Canada recommendations
    • Immunization considerations
    • Engineering controls and safe work practices
    • Personal protective equipment (PPE) selection and use
    • Procedures and best practices for spill and exposure clean-up
    • Hand hygiene protocols
    • Proper glove removal techniques
