    Testing Methods & Delivery

    Workplace Medical delivers drug and alcohol testing through clinics, on-site services, and a virtually observed collections—providing consistent, defensible programs across single- and multi-site organizations.

    Testing methods are selected based on program design and testing circumstances and may include:

    • Alcohol testing using calibrated breath testing or saliva-based screening
    • Drug testing, including:
    • Laboratory-based urine testing (confirmatory, defensible)
    • Oral fluid (saliva) testing
    • Point-of-care testing with laboratory confirmation when required

    All collections follow standardized protocols and strict chain-of-custody requirements.

    • Medical Review Officer (MRO) review for final determinations

    Clinical Oversight & Defensibility

    All testing is delivered under physician-led clinical governance, with MRO review and confirmatory laboratory testing to ensure results are accurate, defensible, and able to withstand regulatory, legal, or union scrutiny.

    Reporting & Program Visibility

    Employers have secure access to results and documentation through WMC’s client portal, supporting timely decisions, audits, and compliance reporting. Where PROOF or point-of-care testing is used, results may be available in real time, reducing downtime and improving response at the worksite.
