    • The five-step workplace inspection process
    • Establishing inspection policies and procedures
    • Understanding and using floor plans
    • Developing effective inspection checklists
    • Filing inspection reports and making recommendations
    • Follow-up procedures and corrective action tracking
    • Hazard recognition best practices

    As part of the course, participants will conduct a workplace inspection, reinforcing practical application of the concepts covered.

    Purpose of Workplace Inspections

    Workplace inspections play a critical role in occupational health and safety by helping organizations to:

    • Identify substandard conditions, processes, and behaviours before incidents occur
    • Listen to and evaluate hazards identified by workers
    • Assess the causes of hazards and the potential for future incidents
