    Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training prepares participants to handle, ship, receive, and transport dangerous goods safely and in compliance with the TDG Act and Regulations. The course focuses on hazard recognition, documentation, safe handling practices, and emergency response requirements. It supports employer obligations to maintain safe work environments and ensure workers are trained and competent when working with dangerous goods.

    Workplace Medical Corp. is an OWWCO Director–approved provider authorized to certify participants with a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) value of 0.4.


    Duration:

    • 4 hours

    Training Method

    Instruction includes:

    • Instructor-led discussion
    • Practical examples and regulatory scenarios

    Training emphasizes compliance, hazard awareness, and safe decision-making throughout the transportation lifecycle.

    Course Content

    Participants receive instruction covering key TDG requirements and practical application, including:

    • Proper shipping names and classification criteria
    • TDG Schedules 1, 2, and 3
    • Shipping documentation requirements
    • Safe handling of dangerous goods
    • Containment means and packaging requirements
    • Roles and responsibilities of workers and management
    • Emergency Response Assistance Plan (ERAP) requirements
    • Reporting accidental and imminent accidental releases
    • Safe transportation and handling practices
    • Emergency response procedures
    • Labelling and marking of dangerous goods
    • Documentation processes
    • Placarding requirements
    • Spill reporting procedures
    • Loading and unloading dangerous goods from transport vehicles

    Additional Training

    TDG Class 7 (Radioactive Materials) Training is available upon request for onsite delivery.
