    Ladder and Scaffold Safety Training prepares participants to recognize hazards, understand responsibilities, and apply safe work practices when working on ladders and scaffolds.

    Falls from ladders and scaffolds remain one of the leading causes of workplace injuries—and one of the most preventable. This course addresses common causes of falls, improper equipment use, and unsafe practices, helping organizations reduce risk and improve safety performance.


    Duration:

    • Ladder Safety: 2 hours
    • Scaffold Safety: 2 hours

    Training may be delivered as a combined session or as separate modules, depending on workplace requirements.

    Participants receive instruction covering ladder-related hazards and safe work practices, including:

    • Common ladder accidents and hazards
    • Causes of ladder-related injuries
    • Ladder duty ratings and load limits
    • Selecting the appropriate ladder for the task
    • Inspection practices for step and extension ladders
    • Proper ladder positioning and set-up
    • Safe climbing and descending techniques
    • Electrical hazard awareness
    • Identifying unsafe or damaged ladders
    • Ladder storage and maintenance
    • Best practices to prevent ladder kick-outs
    • Recognizing additional site-specific hazards

    Training concludes with a course review and evaluation quiz.

    Scaffold Safety Training

    Scaffold Safety Training focuses on recognizing risks and responsibilities when working on or around scaffolding, including:

    • Accident prevention principles
    • Identifying scaffold-related hazards
    • Dangerous areas and fall risks
    • Types of scaffolds and their intended use
    • Common terminology and components
    • Supervisor responsibilities
