    As a result of the efforts of WMC, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board has achieved the following outcomes: 1) Better Employee Engagement, 2) Lower rates of absenteeism & lower absence costs: In the first year, post- implementation, average annual absenteeism was reduced by 1.5 days per employee per year, resulting in absence costs savings of $3 million per year. 3) Absenteeism and employee health are strategic initiatives at the Board, and 4) Clearly articulated program with clear responsibilities for all people manager stakeholders.
