The Active Canadian unique approach to CPR training puts knowledge and confidence into the hands of participants so they can respond to an emergency and manage the scene before professionals arrive. The principle of CPR, or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is simple: ensure that a life-saving minimum amount of oxygen is reaching the patient’s vital organs before the ambulance arrives.
Active Canadian’s CPR courses follow the guidelines as set forth by the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation and are approved by the WSIB. Class sizes are flexible and course duration is approximately 4 to 6 hours. Participants will receive a wallet card and a concise Active Canadian reference manual. Four resuscitation programs provide training at various levels, including:
- Adult / Child CPR Level A
- Infant / Child CPR Level B
- Adult / Infant / Child CPR Level C
- Awareness Level E
