Do you have experience as a professional responder and a passion for teaching? If so we invite you to join the instructor team at Workplace Medical Corp. (WMC) as a first aid instructor. WMC is actively seeking professionals with first aid training experience and a strong understanding of prehospital care to deliver our WSIB accredited first aid program to clients throughout Ontario. WMC trains over 16,000 people a year in workplaces across Canada and are looking to expand our instructor pool to meet the growing demand for our programs.

What we need from you is:

  • Experience as a first aid instructor (minimum 1 year)
  • Experience as a first responder or medical knowledge (ex: paramedics/firefighters/police officers/military/nurse/medical technicians)
  • Availability during the week and on weekends
  • Completed vulnerable sector security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Registered Nurse

WMC is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position onsite at our client’s facility in Ottawa.  WMC is committed to supporting employers in maintaining a healthy workplace through prevention and response of workplace absences, including medical surveillance, testing and assessments.  

This nurse contract will placed onsite at our client’s site in Ottawa. Monday – Friday (6 hour days) 30 hour week.  Two late shifts per week (Tuesday and Thursday 2pm-8pm)

The core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Pre or periodic nurse medical assessments
  • Review of medical reports
  • Administer vaccinations
  • Vision screening
  • Hearing testing
  • Spirometry testing (PFT)
  • Mask Fit Testing
  • Disability and Accommodation Management including WSIB claim management

What we need from you:

  • Registered and in good standing as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Liability Insurance or willingness to get liability insurance with the RNAO
  • Flexibility to work days and afternoons
  • Required experience: Minimum 3 years, experience in an occupational health nursing is required.
